Switzerland, July 2026. Xcert AI, the certification-grade engineering platform for aerospace compliance and certification workflows, today announced the release of Xcert 1.1. The release delivers a redesigned user experience, a re-architected AI workflow with source-cited outputs, and a new framework for governing AI-generated engineering artefacts, alongside integrated support for ECSS standards.
Xcert 1.1 is built around a simple principle: AI in regulated engineering must be trustworthy, traceable and controlled. Every capability in this release serves that goal.
"Xcert 1.1 is shaped directly by the people who use it," said Marc-Elian Bégin, CEO of Xcert AI. "Every feature in this release responds to what our customers told us they need to do their jobs: grounded AI they can verify, quality checks they can rely on, and full control over AI-generated artefacts. Real feedback, with real results. That is how we intend to keep building."
A new, more powerful user interface. The platform UI has been completely redesigned, with an intuitive interface that improves navigation, visual clarity and productivity across all features.
Canvas view. A modern visual workspace for editing engineering artefacts, with professional PDF document generation for formal reviews.
A re-architected AI workflow. The AI orchestration layer has been rebuilt for greater speed, reliability and consistency, and to provide a stronger foundation for future capabilities.
Grounded AI with citations. Advanced grounding and source-citation mechanisms significantly reduce hallucinations and increase factual accuracy. Users can see where an answer comes from, which is essential for building justified trust in AI outputs within certification workflows.
Quality checking and assurance. Automated validation, consistency checking and quality scoring for engineering artefacts, including requirements, system descriptions and documents.
A framework for managing AI-generated entities. A new end-to-end framework for creating, reviewing, versioning and governing AI-generated artefacts such as requirements, with a full audit trail and human control at every step.
AI-powered requirements generation. High-quality draft requirements can be generated from natural-language system descriptions, or by decomposing higher-level requirements into lower-level requirements for subsystems.
Knowledge management. A conversational interface with a new "curiosity" chat mode for exploration, training and instant access to information, empowering staff to draw on the project knowledge base and the applicable standards and regulations.
ECSS certification sources and artefacts. Integrated support for ECSS standards, including relevant certification sources and ready-to-use artefacts for space and aerospace projects. EASA and FAA will soon follow.
Compliance statement generation. Support for defining compliance statements against applicable standards and regulations.
Enhanced requirements traceability. Strengthened traceability capabilities across the requirements lifecycle.
Xcert AI is a certification-grade engineering platform purpose-built for aerospace compliance and certification workflows. Based in Switzerland, Xcert AI helps engineering organisations across aerospace, space and next-generation aviation apply AI to regulated workflows without compromising traceability, quality or control.
