Cologne, Germany, 10 September 2026 - Xcert AI, trustworthy AI platform for end-to-end certification readiness, has won the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AI Olympics, held during EASA AI Days 2026 in Cologne.
EASA received 50 entries, reaching the competition limit. A committee of judges from EASA and the scientific community selected Xcert AI among the 10 shortlisted cases for the conferences. EASA AI Days participants then voted to determine the three podium positions, with Xcert AI taking first place.
The win positions Xcert AI as a practical benchmark for how AI can support safety-critical certification work without removing human accountability. Built specifically for aerospace certification readiness, Xcert AI connects requirements, evidence, generated artefacts and verification activities in one traceable flow, while qualified engineers retain final authority.
Certification teams need AI outputs they can trust, review and trace to their sources. Xcert is designed specifically for the aerospace industry to prevent hallucinated content from reaching the user's output and to preserve an auditable source trail through every step and edit. It works on top of a team's qualified tools rather than replacing them, while giving organisations control over their data, models and deployment. EASA's published top-10 case summary describes Xcert AI as a Level 1B/2A system supporting human engineers who retain final approval authority.
At EASA AI Days, Xcert AI demonstrated a pre-release version of Xcert 1.2, extending support from requirements into verification work. The release generates test specifications, cases and procedures connected to the requirements they verify, advancing Xcert AI's end-to-end certification-readiness vision.
"Winning the EASA AI Olympics is especially meaningful because it provides validation from the community in aviation that we have built Xcert for" said Marc-Elian Bégin, CEO & Co-founder of Xcert AI. "The industry needs an AI platform that is trustworthy, transparent and firmly under human authority. This recognition strengthens our ambition to make that the benchmark for AI in aerospace certification."
Xcert AI provides trustworthy AI for end-to-end certification readiness. Its platform helps aerospace teams connect requirements, evidence, generated artefacts and verification work with traceable, source-cited outputs while keeping human experts in control.
